Entry 2: Summer Reading: Looking for Alaska
Michael Kopaygorodsky

The main character of this novel (Miles) is a strange character I haven't really figured him out yet but he is very shy and doesn't have a lot of friends. What Miles wants is just a friend he can talk to and not be shy around. Some themes that are starting to appear in this novel is Miles is more of an inside kid he hates to be outside in the heat and every time he is outside he dreads it and wants to go somewhere where there's AC. My book has been dragging so far but I'm sure the pace will pick up soon because he is just moving into his dorm into the new boarding school and he is talking about how he doesn't have friends and how he hates to be outside in the heat.

Entry 1: Summer Reading: Looking For Alaska
Michael Kopaygorodsky

I have started Looking For Alaska the main character so far in the novel is Miles. He is going to a boarding school in Alabama. He left his school in Florida to go there. He doesn't have a lot of friends and his parents threw him a going away party and no one really came because he doesn't have a lot of friends. I have no gone any further then that but some things I was wondering is if he will make any friends at his new boarding school and if he will make a difference at his new school. Some predictions I have is I think Miles will do something that will change his whole personality and look on everything and will become more social with people and make new friends.
