Tone and Mood
I dont think Larry Bird Watching has one particular tone it has various amounts of different tones. I think the biggest one would be a direct tone of voice because he talks a lot about himself and what he says and does so this is why I would pick this tone over others. The mood of this novel is realy up to you because if your interested in finding out about Larry Bird maybe you have a curious mood so overall its up to you to set the mood. An example of this novels tone is "When I took the head coaching job with the Pacers, everyone kept saying how excited I must be, because I was coming home again. But the truth is, Indianapolis isn't really home for me."(pg. 185, Jackie Macmullan) this quote shows the direct tone that he had and what he was thinking. A particular moment in my novel when Larry Bird swayed my mind when he was talking about how bad it is to be famous because everyones always falling you around it changed my mind about being famous because I dont want everyoe following me around everywhere I go. Larry Birds tone was very persuasive so it swayed my mind even more because it was persuasive.
